::Alchemy Order from Lauren for Wedding Map Cards::

Hooray for the first alchemy order!

I came, I bid, I got to make them.  Yay!

On Etsy, Alchemy is a section where buyers go to request custom items.  They have to list what they want made in detail, how many they need, how much they would ideally like to pay for it, and when they need it finished by.  Then, once they put in the request, sellers bid on the item for a chance to make it.  They list the price they can make it for, the estimated cost of shipping, when they can have it finished by, the description of the item they would make, the method of shipping, and payment terms.  If the seller's bid is accepted, they get to make the item, receive payment for it, ship it to the buyer, and then get feedback in return.  It's a really neat place to go for awesome ideas and great opportunities for both buyers and sellers.  So, one more time, ...HOORAY!

The map cards I made were 4"x6", and were made with ivory card stock.  They matched perfectly to the invitations, the image of which was sent via a pdf file.  That was very helpful since I was then able to use the graphic off of the invitations to put on the map cards so they matched.  I loved having the chance to make these, and I hope the couple enjoys them!  Thanks for the idea, Lauren!

::The Origami Addition::

I just added something new on Etsy: sweet little paper cranes!  Origami has always been a hobby of mine, and cranes can look so delightful, especially if you use the right paper.  We even decided to use them for our wedding as place cards.  Hooray for being inventive!  So, only about 50 more of them to make for our wedding, and, as always, I could make them for yours, too.

The best part is that they are SO money-saving, since they can be used as both place cards and favors put together!  Just equip the little cranes with a string pulled through the center, write the guests names on the wings, set them at each place setting, and let them know they can take them home!  Everybody loves origami, and who knew it could work for weddings, too?

::New and Improved Pocket Invitation::

The couple that I'm doing the black, white, and silver pocket invitations for decided to switch to a different paper size and orientation... and I'm thrilled! It turned out even better than the original No. 10 size invite! She certainly made a good call. We might even be adding a monogram. Their wedding is still about 10 months away, so they're off to a very good start getting things done early. Well done to the both of you! Here's the finished product!

::Vintage Victorian-Inspired Burlesque Bra::

Hooray! It's finally done!

A few friends of mine inspired me to make this, and I'll definitely be making a lot more in the future. There's a huge shortage of Victorian-inspired lingerie these days, and a huge demand for it in certain circles. Now, this isn't something that you'll find in a store like Victoria's Secret for sure, but custom-made is more fantastic! There are a few other girls who sell these, too, and I think their work is great as well. Some include girdles to match and make it a set, which I may start doing after a while. For this one, I've found numerous panties here and there that would work great with it and are pretty cheap in a store.

This one will soon be listed on my Etsy store [probably at $35.00] along with all my handmade stationery and other handmade items. Yay!

I'm actually highly considering making a bra and pantie set very much along these lines for my wedding in September. Of course, I don't think it would work well under the dress itself, but I'm sure that my husband-to-be/partner-in-crime would be happy to see it later. And the ruffles are just fabulous! :)

Enjoy it and get inspired!

::Pocket-Fold Wedding Invitation::

This is the first time I've had a request for one of these, but making it was so much fun!

The invitation itself serves as the envelope as well, and there is no chance of the pocket slips falling out. Each slip in the pocket will say "Reception", "Map" or "Directions", "Registries", etc.. The colors of this one are black, white, and silver, and the design is completed with a single rhinestone in the scroll design.

As I do with all of my designs, any part of it changeable according to what the person prefers. This particular couple is changing the patterned paper to a completely silver paper. I absolutely love this design, so thanks a ton to the couple who requested it!

Also, as always, if you like how the design looks or want more information on it or other designs, send me a message! All invitations and stationery I make are under $.76 per so far. I just think $200.00 is too much to pay for wedding invitations. :)
